How we think about photography

I think we can gain wisdom from those who have gone before us. One way to find that wisdom is to look at quotes from photographers (famous or otherwise).

I chose this quote from Elliott Erwitt as the first quote to appear on our website.

“To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”

This quote encompasses the way we approach our photography. We like to look for scenes (big or small) that resonate with us, wherever we may find ourselves.

Take time to look around, we have found that our ability to see images has been enhanced by slowing down. There are opportunities for photography everywhere, you just need to give yourself time to see them.
