Two lenses to view the world

We decided to launch ANWE Photography as a way to showcase our photographic journey. Knowing nothing about the intricacies of website design, I participated in a Squarespace workshop, aimed at photographers. Like ourselves, most participants were ‘amateur photographers’ wanting a display portal.

Thankfully, the workshop significantly demystified the process and this is the result.

Step one, and maybe the most difficult - a name for the website. We brainstormed ideas, found many ideas led to ‘interesting’ websites when searched, and finally decided to use the moniker given to us by the architect who designed our house ‘AN(thony)WE(ndy)’.

Step two - choose a template. We wanted the look to be clean and uncluttered.

Step three - design a logo. We choose a twin reflex camera to reflect our individual views of the world as photographers, and to reflect our new journey into analogue photography.

Step four - page design, layout and content, the time consuming part!

We decided that we wanted to have a blog page. This is where we will share our ongoing photographic evolution - our musings, ideas, experiments and experiences.

This is how we view this amazing world. We hope you like it.
