Anthony Dutton and Wendy Dutton
Photography brought us together, having met on a photography expedition over 10 years ago. We live in the country in southeast Queensland, Australia.
We share a love of creating meaningful images. Our views of the world through the lens are, thankfully, divergent. We often return from a photographic outing with completely different sets of images. We frequently ask the question “Were we at the same place?”
We both started shooting digitally about 20 years ago, and retired our film cameras.
We have embraced creating black and white images, welcoming the loss of distraction often present with colour images.
Our photography does not stand still, as we continue to learn and explore new opportunities.
As we now have more time to spend on our photography we are balancing digital photography with a renewed interest in film photography and alternative processing methods.
We are also starting to create handmade books as a way of displaying our images.
This website showcases some of our work, and our journey forward into the alchemy of the past.
