There has been worldwide interest in this natural phenomenon following the significant geomagnetic storm at the weekend.
We have seen the Aurora Australis on several occasions while visiting Tasmania, but had always hoped that we would see it from our home in Queensland.
It had been raining Saturday afternoon, but the cloud cover became patchy in the evening and we were able to see the aurora through the clouds - a dance with light and the weather.
